Yay, finally April is here! Can’t wait to shoo March away. Sorry March, but I wasn’t really enjoying your company for the past 31 days you know… Of course I had my few shares of good news but the rest was devastating. What with the Japan earthquake, tsunami, nuclear disaster… and those bad news related to ppl around me…
Why I don’t like March that much?
- We didn’t manage to book March for our Mount KK climb since a government agency had already booked the whole month.
- My faraway colleague was diagnosed with terminal stage cancer, meaning it had spread to other parts of body. It doesn’t help that I had met her in person and we kept close contact via email.
- My ED had undergone heart bypass operation when he was actually screening for another condition.
- King Kong had his appendics removed.
- OWI’s sis had her bag snatched while at the traffic light.
- CWY was having conflicts with her housemates.
- Continuous complaint from the same customer, which I can’t seem to solve just yet.
Aren’t all these bad enough? And oh…. I spent the last 2 days of March with food poisoning, how coincidental can that be? Can’t blame me for being pessismistic right? Not to mention that my tempers flare like nobody’s business in March. Pity my colleagues. Pretty lame to blame it on March right? I had to agree with that. Haha… but of course March is not entirely gloomy by itself.
I had my fair share of shiny March as well though.
- Very informative and eye-opening seminar where we had technical exchange with the China group and other regional flour mills within our group. Learnt lotsa Mandarin terms related to flour milling. Nevertheless, I realised one thing! I still need to work up on my soft skill. I am still not able to approach ppl first hand. Usually will monitor first. But I guess some ppl are like that, not just me.
- Met TAL, NSH and YMF, we had great fun outing together. Thanks for their warm hospitality.
- Passed Lloyd’s HACCP surveillance audit.
Well, now that April is here, I don’t know what to expect yet but I am keeping a positive mindset. Fingers crossed! First of all, CLP is coming back, another meeting with wood tech gang in KL, birthdays of two turtle gals are coming up, and YWL is coming back too. YWL is a very aggressive friend but is always a good listener and advisor. Perhaps not by giving much solution but he is very good in lending his ears. But to be frank, I am lucky to have a few close friends with whom I can share my thoughts with. Not able to meet with CJB is March though. Nevertheless, thank God for the blessing!
It’s April Fool today and just now I saw on FB that petrol price might increase by 20 sen. Weird! Didn’t hear anyone else said that. When I told my mom, she said… “Perhaps it was another prank due to April Fool?” Wow, mom is brilliant! I didn’t even thought of that. And btw, if that’s really the case, then this dude really got the gut to play prank on this kind of serious stuff. But then… it would have proven that someone will still probably fall for it, since I was already one of them!
Happy April Fool and hope April is bringing more joy to us! Joy, which is challenging I can still accept but please, no more devastating news please! Please be kind to us ok? Adios!
p/s: Kel, if you are reading this, all the best and wish you a fast recovery. You will have your wish granted, believe me (if you are being a good boy, that is!), haha!
