Postcard Frenzy Mode

Postcard frenzy mode.
Got a stack of FOC postcards from Julie.

Wrote two postcards to Postcrossing.
Been delaying purchasing stamp as I ran out of them.
Bought some last weekend and managed to post them out, finally.

 Yes, I wrote all these.
And in fact, I added a few more, together with the Ah Huat postcards as well.
Need mood to write all these.
Not everytime I can do this.

This is the stack of postcards from Julie.

She found another stack for me.

Yong' s postcard from Shanghai.

Early morning breakfast

Reached KLIA early morning from Manila.
Waiting to go back for Mother's Day celebration.
Hanged out in KLIA for breakfast before taking train to KLIA2 to Penang.

My first ever proper breakfast after so long.
Milk tea... the milk makes it the best.
I am more of  a tea person than a coffee person.

And nasi lemak.
True Malaysian never forgets this.
Not fragrant coconut rice here though.

Beautiful skyline view

While waiting for Julie to go to night market, saw this.
Nice.
Beyond words.

Souvenirs Bought From Hanoi

 Dried lotus seed and coffee.
Was told that lotus seed from Hanoi is much better than in HCMC.
Really nice and crunchy!
And the coffee from Trung Nguyen called G7.
Last time Cannaes bought this for us.
I didn't try it though.
Not a coffee fan.

Books

Book from Ms Choo.
Touched that she still remembers me.
I came empty-handed to visit her though.

Carrot cake

 Carrot cake from Secret Recipe.
Used to be my favourite.
Especially with the white cream on top.
And the cinnamon taste.

Trip to Hanoi May 2015

Went to Hanoi for business trip recently.
No sightseeing but there was quite some food.
I like Hanoi food.
Lotsa vegetable and healthier.
Not so meaty, at least.

See how happy the bun is?

Had these in local Vietnamese restaurant.
This is common.
Squeeze lime into seasoned salt and add some chilli.
Spicy chilli!

Usually we have a vegetable called "SuSu".
But this round we have kangkung.
Yum yum!

Deep-fried tang hun.
Crispy!

Boiled free-range chicken.
In Malaysia, we call it kampong chicken.
Really can't find much fat in it.

Rice cracker with sesame.
Usually taken with groundnuts and beer.
Or just taken as appetizer before main course.

Postcard from hotel.
Koo said this is water puppet show, or something like that.

My room service meal from hotel.
Too big portion.

First time trying duck liver pate that comes with salad.
Too rich to my liking.
Cannot take it especially when I was imagining foie gras.

Happy Parents' Day

Very creative promotion from Ah Huat White Coffee.
Postcard for mom and dad as well.

Sent one to mom.

Very true indeed.
Mom's cooking is still the best since we grew up with it.

And since dad was no longer here, I sent one to JS instead.

A postcard from future kid.
Written by me, haha!

Thai version of Tokyo Banana

No need to buy Tokyo Banana from Japan anymore.
You can find this in 7-11 in Thailand.
Launched two months ago by CP Ram, second largest bakery in Thailand.
Banana custard cream soft cake.
Very soft, nice and cheap :)
