Here’s a story to share with everyone. I find it short and brief enough to convey such a lovely lesson of life! It was forwarded by Kiru, a very lovely fren of mine. Here it goes:
“A student asks a teacher: What is love?
The teacher said: in order to answer your question, go to the paddy field and choose the biggest paddy and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick. The student went to the field, go through first row, he saw one big paddy,but he wonders…. may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one… but may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him Later, when he finished more than half of the paddy field, he start to realize that the paddy is not as big as the previous one he saw, he know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up went back to the teacher with empty hand. The teacher told him, this is love… you keep looking for a better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the person.
The student asked: What is marriage then?
The teacher said: In order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick. The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfied, and came back to the teacher. The teacher told him, this time you bring back a corn…. you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get….”
Meaningful enough isn’t it? Guess what? Sent it out to a colleague who thanked me and asked me to quickly go and find my paddy =.=!! It’s nice to know that ppl enjoy it though.
Today is my third day of renting a room in Prai.Just when I thought I am ready to move to Prai,suddenly I miss my mom and my baby niece so much.She no longer irritates me with her cries (manage to behave better already). And she is so cute and adorable. She can smile the prettiest smile on Earth when u talked to her, even if u talked rubbish.She won’t be able to understand anyway.The last few days before me staying in Prai, I found her more and more adorable and just looking at her makes u smile.Amazing.
Picking up the pace to work though will still slack sometimes.My nature, hard to change but I know that somehow or rather u will still manage to change if u still want to. So it’s not an excuse right?RIGHT!!!
New Year comes and goes.CNY too.Thaipusam will be too. But our motivation in life must stay.That’s for sure
