Keeping Fit

Daily exercises are important to convert your food into energy. If you take in more energy than you need, the excess is stored as fat. That's why exercise is as important as eating healthily. It burns off excess energy, tones up the muscles, and improves your overall self-esteem and health.

1. 20 to 30 minutes of walking
counts as one of the best exercises. Joining a fitness club is not necessary if you can fit in your walking exercise into your daily routine like taking the stairs instead of the lift, or walking briskly between shops.

2. Aerobic activities
like running, cycling, and swimming strengthen your heart and increase your endurance.

3. Flexibility exercises
like stretching and yoga help enhance range of motion, reduce stiffness, and limit aches and pains. start with simple stretches in the morning without even leaving your bed to get your blood flowing.

4. Get medical clearance before you start your regime.
If you have special health issues such as an existing heart condition or high blood pressure, talk with your doctor or health practitioner and let them know your plans.

5. Burn 100 calories right now
by just marching, jogging and doing jumping jacks in place for 10 minutes!
